Born in Horta, Fayal, Azores, Ms. Da Conceicao Amaral was employed as a Seamstress for Cliftex.
Her surviving family includes her 7 children: Antonio Francisco Silveira of New Bedford, Rosa Maria Gomes of New Bedford, Jose Alberto Silveira of Portugal, Maria Gorrette Silveira of Portugal, Maria Isabel Da Silveira of New Bedford, Maria Jesus Orcutt of Dartmouth, Francisco Ceasar Silveira of New Bedford; 12 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews; 2 Sisters: Gilberta Rosario of Florida and Rosa Andrade of Portugal; 2 Brothers: Manuel Antonio Amaral of Portugal and the Late Jose Antonio Amaral of Portugal.
Maria Da Conceicao Amaral’s funeral will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 beginning with Visiting Hours in the funeral home from 9-10:00A.M. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will take place immediately following at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford.
