Obituary

LAWRENCE – Florence Dumont Theberge passed away peacefully with members of her family by her side. Florence was born in Waterville, Maine; the daughter of Mattie Brann and Joseph S. Dumont. She graduated from Lawrence High School, Fairfield, Maine and attended Thomas College. Following graduation, she worked at Keyes Fibre Co., then after raising her family, she worked at The Andover Companies and retired from Greater Lawrence Technical High School as Secretary in the Guidance Office.
Florence had a deep Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence for many years and more recently attended St Michael Church in North Andover. She was active in the Lawrence Garden Club, Homemakers club, Third Order of Mary, St. Claire League and had a wonderful group of friends that got together often. Her greatest pleasure was spending time at her second home in Belgrade, Maine
She is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Clement. She is also predeceased by a daughter Margaret and son Martin. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers: Henry Dumont, Lawrence Dumont and his wife Terry, Joseph Dumont and his wife Robbie, Richard Dumont, brothers-in-law Gerard Begin and James Violette and her sisters Lena Dumont Maillet and her husband Kit, and Sister Immaculata Kathleen Dumont.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia, son Henry and his wife Dianne, three grandchildren, Dr. Stephen Theberge and his wife Melissa, Christina and her husband Greg Miller, Tim Theberge and his wife Stacy and 8 great grandchildren, Emma, Nathan, Claire, Matthew, Abigail, Nora, Jack and Parker.
She is also survived by her sisters Marguerite Begin of Melbourne, Florida and Theresa Violette of Waterville, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care she received from Dr. Sayeeda Rahman and staff at Home Care Inc. and Merrimack Valley Hospice. We also wish to thank all the other people who made Florence's life special.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael Church in North Andover, MA. On Tuesday October 25th at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. Visiting hours are Monday October 24th 4PM-8PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 35 Merrimack St. North Andover, MA.
