Milena Djordjevic, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Born in Serbia (former Yugoslavia), Milena came to the United States in 1957 and settled in Los Angeles California, until 1995, when she moved with her family to Louisville Kentucky.
Milena was an incredibly strong and determined women who embraced life. As a dear friend said, she was ahead of her time. She loved to cook and enjoyed all sports, especially when her motherland was being represented. She was easy to talk to and could hold her own when discussing any topic. She was a good listener and enjoyed spending time with her friends. One of the most important things in her life was her family, and even though she is gone now, she has left the legacy of her love, strength and perseverance.
She always put others in front of herself and has made a positive mark on the life of everyone that she knew. She was a great Woman, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother-in-law, Aunt and Friend, she will deeply be missed by all. We are blessed to have had her and we celebrate her life.
There will be a private family service. Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown is entrusted with arrangements.
