Bonnie Faye Wisham Giddens, 74, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Corey Thompson officiating. Mrs. Giddens will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Zach Giddens, Kyle Giddens, Bradley Giddens, James Montgomery, Randy Meadows and Michael Miller will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 12, 1942 in Moultrie, Mrs. Giddens was the daughter of the late Simmie Stephen Wisham and Agnes Louise Pate Wisham. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lora Louise Gay and Irma Lene Ohenkamp; and one brother, Kenneth Wisham. She was a retired library assistant at G. O. Bailey Elementary School. She loved flowers and gardening and was always ready to travel. She was employed 25 years in the school system and loved reading to children and was an avid reader. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Giddens is survived by her husband, Bennie Morris Giddens of Tifton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Amy Giddens of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ricky and Carla Giddens of Tifton and Marc and Katheryn Giddens of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; three brothers, Dick Wisham of Norman Park, Danny Wisham of Daytona Beach, Florida and Freddy Wisham of Albany; one sister, Hilda F. Watts of Navarro, Florida; her grandchildren, Bradley Giddens, Kyle Giddens, Jared Giddens, Zachary Giddens, Jonathon Giddens, Emma Giddens, Brandy Cottle and Corey Thompson; and her great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Peyton, Piper, Jay and Davis.
