Virginia Hofknecht, 89, of Wake Robin Road, Lincoln, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William Hofknecht for 66 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Warren and Helen (Mattis) Hill. She had made her home in Lincoln since 1989, having previously resided in Smithfield. Both she and her husband were previously from Roxborough, Pennsylvania before they moved to Rhode Island in 1970.
Virginia was a homemaker, wife and mother to her children, Leslie Anne Hofknecht and her companion, Americo Prodigio, of Cranston and Mark W. Hofknecht of Lincoln and his wife, Brendalee Doucette Hofknecht of Providence, her beloved four grandchildren: Shelby, Luigi, McKenzie and Brad and a great grandson.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am in Greenville Baptist Church, 582 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Friday from 4-7 pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
