PEABODY: Selina Joan (Brooke) Walsh, 90, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Walsh who died in 1976.
Joan, her preferred name, was born in Long Island City, NY on December 2, 1925 and resided in New York until she moved to Brooksby Village, Peabody, MA in 2006.
Joan lived a rich and full life. She was committed to being a loving mother, grandmother “Grammy”, great grandmother “GG” and aunt “AJ”. While she will no longer be with us her spirit and legacy will continue to be present in everyone her life touched.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Barbara DiGuiseppe and her husband, Michael DiGuiseppe; her son, Thomas Walsh and his wife, Virginia Guzman-Walsh; her five grandsons, Matthew DiGuiseppe and his wife, Colleen, Christopher DiGuiseppe and his wife, Alexandra, Colin DiGuiseppe, Trent Guzman-Walsh and Tristen Guzman-Walsh; and her great-grandson, Dylan Walsh DiGuiseppe, as well as her three nephews and their families.
