Roland Tsai Yee Tang, 57, of Franklin passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Born in Hong Kong on May 17, 1959, he was the son of Portia Lee Tang of Franklin and the late Shaolung Tang.
Roland was a resident of Franklin for the past 22 years.
He earned his architectural degree from Notre Dame University and his MBA from Boston College.
Roland was a fabulous painter. He enjoyed cooking and baking and was a car enthusiast.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister Susan and brother-in-law Lowell of Hong Kong, his brother Ian and his partner Israel of New York City, his partner Jonathan Stevens of Boston and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, October 22 from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Roland’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, 6th Floor Brookline, MA 02445, directed in honor of Roland Tang.
