On Monday, October 17th, 2016, Barbara (Seguine) Lineburgh passed away peacefully to eternal life in the Lord's happiness. She was the loving wife of the late Lester W. Lineburgh for more than 43 yrs. Born in Hartford August 24th, 1927 to the late Ralph H. and Lola Seguine,
Barbara was a long time resident of West Hartford, graduating from Hall H.S. in 1945, then going on to earn a degree at Centenary College. In her professional life, her hard work benefited people of all ages.
She started her career in the Hartford welfare office; taught nursery school, and then helped co-workers transition from their jobs into retirement as Retirement Planning Coordinator for Aetna Life & Casualty,
Upon her own retirement in 1992, Barbara was able to devote time to the things that gave her pleasure such as; traveling, knitting, needlepoint, reading, and being an active parishioner at her church. She especially enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and in Ogunquit, Maine.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons Bruce E. Lineburgh with his companion Patricia Miller and James R. Lineburgh, grandchildren Meaghan and Timothy Lineburgh, and her niece Lynda with her husband Michael Hewitt, as well many more nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 29th at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 15 Pearl St., Mystic, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Mark's alter guild would be greatly appreciated.
