Chris Akerblom Smith (20) of Brockton died October 17th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born in Brockton loving son of Patti (Akerblom) Mendes of Brockton and the late Jefferey Smith. He attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of the Youth Build Program. Chris loved building and racing cars and all animals especially dogs.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his 2 dads, Sean Manigault of Bronx, New York and Jonathan Mendes of Brockton, his grandparents, Cheryl and Sean Weaver, Patricia Eldridge and Kevin Brown all of Brockton, Warren Akerblom of Maine, (the late John and Marie Smith), 10 brothers, Quinel, Jefferey, Jonathan, Derian, Ryan, Jason, Tyrese, Adrian, Savion, Jonny (the late Lucien Smith), 7 sisters, Briana, Tara, Jobeth, Taylor, Toni, Tiana, Trinity, 2 nephews, Justice and Christian, 3 nieces, Olivia, Aurora and Adrienne, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Service in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday October 22nd at 6:30 pm. Cremation to follow. Visitation from 4 pm prior to services.
Following Services your cordially invited to attend the Celebration of Chris's Life at the Vega Club 895 Warren Ave. Brockton Saturday October 22nd from 7-10 pm. In keeping with the families wishes dress code is optional.
