Mrs. Yvonne A. (Vaillancourt) Rezendes, formerly of Fairhaven, died Sunday, October 16 in Morton Hospital following a brief illness, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Rezendes. She was born 79 years ago in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ovila and Alice (Avery) Vaillancourt. She was educated in New Bedford and had been a Lakeville resident for the past 1 ½ years. Yvonne was formerly employed in Food Services at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the theater and traveling. She attended the Christian Fellowship Center in New Bedford.
She leaves: 2 sons: Daniel Rezendes of Holly Hill, Fla., and Jeffrey Rezendes of Ft. Myers, Fla.; 1 daughter: Elaine Reilly of Lakeville; 3 grandchildren: Bryan, Allyson, and Jocelyn Rezendes, and several nieces and nephews. Yvonne was also the mother of the late Raymond Rezendes of Cranston, R.I.
Funeral services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
