UPTON: Elaine L. (Koldenborg) Horning, age 72, a retired bookkeeper with White Cliffs of Northborough, died peacefully at her longtime Upton home on Thursday morning, October 13, 2016. She had been the devoted wife of the late Peter C. Horning for 40 years.
Born, raised and educated in Needham, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ruth (Powers) Koldenborg. Elaine was a member of the Needham High School Class of 1962 and continued her education at the Chandler School for Women. She was then employed as a bookkeeper with local manufacturing concerns.
Elaine and Peter were married in 1968 and settled in Upton four years later. Elaine was employed for a number of years with White Cliffs of Northborough from which she retired. Peter passed away in 2008.
She is survived by her dear friends, Linda and Richard Pilla and their children, Lori and Richard; and Joe and Roberta O’Connor and their children, David, Judi and Joseph. She is also survived by her cousin, Cindy Taylor; a niece, Lori Kirkpatrick; a nephew, Steven Ciccarelli; and her brother-in-law, Walter Horning and his wife, Jacqueline; their families; and many much loved friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard and David Koldenborg, and a sister, Louise Ciccarelli.
Her Funeral Services will be private.
