New Bedford – Donald “Rosie” E. Rose Jr., age 61, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Bedford, he was the loving husband of Doreen S. (Nunes) Rose and the son Mary F. (Ridings) Rose and the late Donald E. Rose Sr. He worked as a Mixer at My Bread Baking Company before his retirement.
He is survived by 1 daughter: Tracy Rose son - in - law Mike Horton; 2 grandchildren: Tyler and Marissa Horton; 5 siblings: Mike Rose and his wife Debbie, Danny Rose, Mary Reed and her husband Roney, Margie Rose, and Margo Cardoso and her husband Jose, as well as several nieces and nephews. Donald was also the brother of the late Dalton Rose.
In accordance with his wishes Donald will be cremated. A visitation will take place in the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 with a service to begin at 6:00 P.M.
