SOMERSET – Robert J. Costa, age 80 of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Hearn) Costa and the son of the late Norbert and Emilia (Mendillo) Costa. Prior to retiring, Bob was co-owner / operator of Sportswear Etc - Labels for Less along with his son David. He was also honorably discharged from the US Air Force.
He was a die hard “NY Yankees” fan and an all-around avid sports fan. Bob liked to dine out daily with his wife Pat, dance, watch movies, and attend family gatherings.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his sons: Thomas Costa (wife Debbie), David Costa (wife Lorie), and Richard Costa; his beloved grandchildren: Joshua Costa (wife Kelly), Emilia, Larissa, and Alex Costa. He also leaves his dog Lacey.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St. Swansea at 10:00 A.M.
