Evelyn Sarah Buhl, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, October 14, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Ocilla, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Barnes Cemetery in Ocala, Florida with Pastor Mike Davis officiating.
Mrs. Buhl was born April 14, 1927, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to the late Norman Samuel & Veronica Monich Hodgman. She worked as an office manager for Belk’s Department Store. She lived most of her life in Ocala, Florida, moving to Fitzgerald in 2006. She was a member of College Road Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida.
She is survived by two daughters: Judith & Henry Cochran and Beverly Smith, all of Fitzgerald; a son, James D. “Jimmy” Buhl, Jr. and his wife Robin of Ocala, Florida; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Bertram of Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Buhl; a daughter, Evelyn Jean Buhl Dalton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Sam Hodgman.
