Hannah Lorraine Young died Monday, October 10, 2016. She was 21. A life-long Medford resident, Hannah attended Matignon High School and graduated from Medford High School.
Hannah was a talented woman who loved to travel, write and listen to music and sing. She traveled throughout the United States Canada and Europe. She especially loved the glaciers of Alaska, visits to Montebello, Canada and spending time at Universal Studios. Possessed of a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, she composed poetry. She was a generous and selfless friend to many. She bravely fought her battle with mental illness for many years and Monday gave up her fight.
The cherished daughter of Lori Young of Medford, Matthew Libby of North Reading and Vincent Vannah Jr. of Saugus, she was a devoted sister to Stephen Libby, Victoria Vannah, Christopher and Charles Libby. She was the beloved granddaughter of Bill and Lorraine Young of Medford, Marianne and George Flynn of Medford, Joanne and Vincent Vannah of Saugus. The dear niece of Tracy Young, Billy Young, Andrea Hasbrouck, Maria Blake and Joanne T. Vannah, she was a loving great-granddaughter of Zena DeMarco.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday October 18th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
