Pauline A. Roukey
Manchester– Pauline A. (Solomon) Roukey, 87, died October 13, 2016 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on March 9, 1929 the daughter of John and Lamia (Kalil) Solomon.
Pauline attended Bakersville Elementary and Central High School. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School of Nursing. Her nursing career and her natural desire to help others began at Sacred Heart Hospital until she joined the Manchester Health Department. She worked at several schools but finished her career at Parker Varney working beside her favorite secretary and sister- in- law Louise Roukey.
She was a longtime member of Intervale Country Club. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and cherished her visits with her granddaughter Mary Kate. She was a volunteer at the Palace Theatre and as a Granite State Ambassador.
She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Raphael Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Roukey on May 29, 2005, as well as her sister, Mary Lamarine and her brother, Ted Solomon.
Family members include one son, John E. Roukey Jr. and his wife, Megan of Manchester, one granddaughter, Mary Kate Roukey of Manchester, her brother- in- law, Vincent, several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
