Linda Louise Horne, 67, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM Monday, October 17, 2016, at Abba Cemetery, in Irwin County, with the Elder Alton Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, from 12:30 until 1:30, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Mrs. Horne was born July 25, 1949, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Willie Isom & Mildred Elizabeth Hines Hemphill. She lived in the community most of her life and was a sales clerk for Moore’s Department Store. Mrs. Horne enjoyed reading, gardening and she loved adult coloring books. She was a member of The Fitzgerald Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years: James Edward Horne of Fitzgerald; a daughter: Rebecca Lynn Jameson of Fitzgerald; two sisters: Gloria Ann H. Fowler & Alton of Macon and Rita Faye H. Ham & Robert of Augusta; one brother: Emory Don Hemphill & Jane of Byron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Tommie Wayne Hemphill.
