Michael Foldi, 81 of Derry, NH died Thursday October 13, 2016 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. He was born on September 27, 1935 in Korosladany, Hungary. He was the son of the late Mihaly and Roza (Petnehazi) Foldi. He moved to the US in 1968 and had resided in Derry for over 25 years. He worked as a diesel engine mechanic at the Bracken Co. and Rollins Leasing Corp. After his retirement in 2000 he enjoyed outdoor activities, caring for his home and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Foldi of Derry, his stepsons, Laszlo Feledy and his wife Andrea of Dix Hills, NY, Zoltan Feledy and his wife Yulia of Hong Kong, and his grandchildren, Nicole, Laszlo, Sophia and Alexa.
Following cremation, a calling hour was held on Saturday October 22, 2016 from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service followed at 11:00am in the funeral home, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
