Obituary

Lt. Col. Philip Wayne Sheridan, Jr. (Ret.), 72, died Thursday, October 13th at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. He was born August 28, 1944 in Hackensack, NJ to the late Philip W. Sheridan and Catherine (Chartier) Sheridan. He lived most of his life in New Hampshire, graduating from Pinkerton Academy in 1962. He attended the University of New Hampshire and Boston University. He was a proud member of the New Hampshire Air National Guard from June 1966 to April 1999. At the time of his retirement, he was Public Information Officer for State Headquarters. He spent many successful business years in the printing Industry as a sales rep for the NE area. He loved the coast of Maine where the family vacationed. His many interests included classical music, old movie theaters and theater organs. He was a member of the Theater Historical Society of America.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith (Pouliot) Sheridan. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Michael in 2008.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 2 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 17th at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
