DUKES - Duane (Papa) Dukes, 61, of Yulee passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016.
He was born July 11, 1955 in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Yulee as a child. He has since been a lifelong resident of the Yulee.
He was a dedicated employee of Coker Industrial. He loved sports, hunting and fishing and made the best barbecue in Nassau County. Duane always put his family first.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jay and Elma Dukes; his mother in law, Adele Fiala and his brother Jerry Dukes.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Claire Dukes; a son, Bryce Dukes (Laura) of St. Mary's, GA; a daughter, Carrie George (Mel) of Melbourne Beach, FL; one brother, Al Dukes (Becky) of Melbourne, FL; three grandchildren, Wyatt George, Raleigh George and James Dukes; nieces and nephews, Sonia Mason (Timmy), Allen Dukes (Kathy), Amy Freese (Jerry), Jerry Dukes, Angie Newman, Cindy Smith and numerous other family members.
The family will be celebrating Duane’s life on Saturday, Oct. 22 2016 from 12PM to 3PM at Duane and Claire’s home. Come as you are and share your best memories of Duane with family and friends.
