Mr. Paul A. Gibbs, age 66 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
Mr. Gibbs was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20, 1949, the son of the late Roy Gordon Gibbs, Sr. and Doris Wright Gibbs. He served in the Army National Guard, was a retired business owner of "The Mailing Center" and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed coaching baseball and spending time at Lake Wedowee. He will be remembered as a devoted friend and family man as well as a wise advisor and counselor.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Gibbs; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Kristi Gibbs of Villa Rica; daughter, Dr. Laura Gibbs and daughter-in-law, Dr. Alisa Gambrell of Atlanta; granddaughter, Alexa Gibbs; brothers and sister-in-law, Gordon and Bonnie Gibbs, Fred Gibbs all of Carrollton and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Huggins, James Nelson and Amy Robinson Marti officiating.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
