Ann M. Doherty (Gibbons) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester entered into eternal rest October 11th at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was raised in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School. She worked for New England Telephone for 25 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers. Ann was a woman of strong faith that she shared with all that came in contact with her. A gentle, kind loving wife, mother and “Nana” her family was blessed to have her. Beloved wife of 64 years of the late Neil Doherty. Cherished mother & grandmother of Maureen Doherty Morawiak of Milton & her daughters, Annmarie & Michelle Morawiak, Annemarie Hannon of Pembroke & her children, Denise Konnick, Thomas & Matthew Hannon, and the late Kathleen T. Corbett and her sons Michael & Scott Corbett. Dear sister of Elizabeth O’Connor and David Gibbons both of Quincy and the late John J. “Jack” Gibbons. Also survived by her great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Monday morning at 10:30 am. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Sunday, 4 to 7 PM.
