Donna Marie Furtado, age 51, of N. Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2016. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel P. and Alice (Amaral) Furtado. Donna was a letter carrier for the USPS for 30 years. She had a beautiful laugh, contagious smile and a big heart where animals always held a special place.
Donna leaves behind her beloved dog Miley; cats Billy and Gypsy; siblings Richard Furtado of FL, Steven Furtado of KS and Caroline Dorais of Somerset; nieces and nephews Karen, Kelly, Lori Ann, Jessica, Amanda, Alex and Matthew; as well as many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Oliveira.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. John of God Church, Somerset at 10 A.M. Cremation to Follow. Calling hours on Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
