Mrs. Debra Ann (Deschene) Hancock, a resident of Andover for more 50 years and beloved wife of Ronald E. Hancock, Jr. passed away surrounded by her family, at the Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Milton, MA on Monday afternoon, October 10, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 61 years old. Born in Wakefield, Massachusetts, on July 2, 1955, she was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene G. and Winifred M. (O'Leary) Deschene and step-mother Rosel B. Deschene.
She was a graduate from Andover High School, certified Early Childhood Educator and Licensed Family Day Care Provider. Debra worked as a pre-school assistant director and teacher for 36 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her 5 grandchildren. Debbie loved to travel, go to the ocean and dance the night away to the “beats” of the band “WildFire”.
She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Besides her husband, Ronald, she is survived by her loving children; Christina L. Marchese (Hancock) and Patrick Marchese of Methuen and Ronald E. Hancock III and his wife Allison of Andover, siblings; Jeannie Deschene of Salem, MA and Eugene G. Deschene III of Hampton, New Hampshire and her 5 grandchildren; Alex and Alyssa Marchese, both of Methuen and Sophia, Payton and Ronald E. IV, all of Andover and her many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. All are welcome. Private funeral arrangements are planned.
