1918—2016
Elizabeth Hurtado passed peacefully surrounded by her beloved family members and cousins at Wingate of Andover.
Elizabeth was born in Cali, Colombia to Jose de Jesus Catano and Fernandina Bandera. She immigrated to Manchester, NH from Colombia S.A. in 1966 and was employed in the textile and electronics industries. She is predeceased by her siblings Leo, Ignacio, Nemecio, and Miguel Catano.
Her sisters are Flor Llamos of Colombia, S.A. and Carlota Vidal of NY. She is survived by her children, Graciela Ortiz and husband, Alfredo, Octavio Hurtado and wife, Jeanne, all of Andover,
Alberto Jaramillo and wife, Jaklyn of Lowell, grandson John P. Hurtado and wife, Kelli Collomb of Lynn, and many dear cousins in the Hurtado and Catano families.
Elizabeth will forever be remembered for being a warm, loving, peaceful and always a welcoming person.
Her Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, October 14, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
