CHICOPEE – Mary E. (Cloutier) Perreault, 77, of Ridgewood Village in the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, October 10, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born at home on Hilton Street in the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee on May 9, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Austin H. Cloutier and Helen M. (Richards) Cloutier. She was raised and schooled in Chicopee and had lived in Springfield before moving back to Chicopee in 1973. Mary worked for many years at Baystate Medical Center starting as an aide and then became a nursing assistant. She made many friends at the hospital who all spoke of the compassionate care that she always gave to her patients. Mary and her late husband, Robert, had many good years together sharing a love of trips to the Pocono Mountains, family gatherings and their beloved cats. She also enjoyed her many trips to the casino and particularly enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Big Y in Chicopee. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert C. Perreault who was Called Home on April 2, 2003; and her dear brother, Gerald Cloutier who was Called Home in 1985. She leaves her cherished cousins, James R. Kearns and his wife, Patricia, and Judith A. Lord, all of Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Perreault and Cloutier families. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, October 17, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (the funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Patrick Cemetery, 168 Fuller Road, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
