Obituary

Sagamore Beach: Robert E. “Bob” Lehman, 84, formerly of Natick and Cochituate, died peacefully and comfortably on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth Hospital following a period of declining health.
Robert was born on December 22, 1931 in Bedford the son of the late George W. Lehman and Mabel B. (Hamilton) Lehman.
He was the beloved husband of Marie L. (Perodeau) Lehman of Sagamore Beach formerly of Natick. Devoted father of Joannie M. Cherry and her husband Chuck of Lawrence, Kathleen A. Rivard of Marlborough and Mark R. Lehman and his wife Dawn of Marlborough. Cherished grandfather of Mario Muto, R. Lehman Rivard, David Lehman and AmandaLyn Lehman. He was the brother of Charles Lehman of Lowell, Richard Lehman of Florida, James Lehman of Billerica, Katherine King of Lowell, Mary Proctor of Pepperell and Margaret Caloggero of Virginia. He was also the father of the late Terri Muto and brother of the late George Lehman, John Lehman, Arthur Lehman and Carol Smith.
Robert spent his formative years in Cochituate and was a graduate of Wayland High School with the Class of 1950. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had a long career as a Toll Technician with New England Telephone Company and later AT & T servicing the Hyannis Framingham and Metrowest areas for over 30 years. He was a member of the Pioneer Club of AT&T, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Framingham and the Wayland Rod and Gun Club. He mostly treasured the time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Visitations will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte 27), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Interment will be private for his family at a later date.
