SALEM – Raymond L. Krajeski, 73, of Salem, husband of Jean (Langan) Krajeski passed Sunday, October 9, 2016, surrounded by his family, in the hospice wing at the E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, following a long illness.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Bridget (Moore) Krajeski, and was a lifelong resident of the city.
A Vietnam Era veteran, he served in the Air Force as an Air Policeman and attained the rank of Airman Second Class. He was a member of the American Legion.
Ray was employed by Keyspan as a distribution serviceman for over 30 years until his retirement.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage, he is survived by his children, Salem firefighter Raymond E. and his wife Katie (Parker) Krajeski, Lauren and her husband, Salem firefighter Shawn Edge, all of Salem and Daniel J. Krajeski of Dorchester, grandchildren, Kayleigh, Andrew, and Jacob Krajeski, Emily and Aaron Edge, all of Salem, Jameson Krajeski of Dorchester, one brother, Paul Krajeski of Camarillo, CA, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Agnes Carty, Maryann Frasca and Helen Jedraszek.
His funeral service will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 8:45 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
