Anthony Francis Galluzzo, Jr., 59, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Anthony was born November 7, 1956 in Westerly, RI and was the son of Anthony F., Sr. and Elizabeth (Carella) Galluzzo. He was raised and educated in Woburn, MA and was a graduate of Salem State and Babson Universities. Tony has been a resident of Londonderry for the past 31 years and was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Tony was the Vice President of his family’s architectural woodworking company, The Anthony Galluzzo Corp. of Londonderry. His biggest passion was spending time with his children and extended family. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed sharing game days with his kids, but was more passionate about watching his own children’s sporting events and dance recitals. His family was most important to him. Tony and his children were dedicated to raising money each year for cancer research through the Pan Mass Challenge. He rode in the 200 mile bike ride alongside his children for three years and they have continued to ride and volunteer in his honor for the past 14 years.
Members of the family include his wife of 31 years, Donna (Malagodi) of Londonderry, and his children, Anthony III and Caitlin (Moloney), Matthew, Kimberly, Michael, Dominic, Gianna and Olivia. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey. He is survived by his parents; his brothers Joseph Galluzzo and his wife Betty, David Galluzzo, John Galluzzo and his wife Kim; and his sisters Janice DeIorio and her husband Tony, Marianne Downs and her husband Jack, Linda Williams and her husband David, and Carol Hamilton and her husband William. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH, with visitation for extended family of both Tony and Donna from 4 to 5 pm and general visitation from 5 to 8 pm. A liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 13 at 10 am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road in Londonderry and conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road in Londonderry.
