Kathleen “Kate” O’Connell Adams, 49, of Gales Ferry died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. She is survived by her beloved husband, Phillip A. Adams.
She was born on October 29, 1966 in North Haven, the daughter of David and Roberta “Bobbi” (Bartlett) O’Connell. She graduated from Daniel Hand High School in 1984.
She worked as the Director of Technology for the Ledyard Public Schools for 17 years, retiring in January of 2013.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her 3 children, Tara Stockmon of Hartford, Ian Stockmon of Tacoma WA, and Evan Stockmon of Gales Ferry, her adopted daughter Gabrielle Adams of Lakewood, WA, as well as 6 stepchildren Cody Adams of Lakewood WA, Rickie Adams, Brandon Adams and Alex Adams all of Gales Ferry, Kris Rowe of Honolulu Hawaii and Kyle Rowe of Huntsville AL. She is also survived by her brother Michael O’Connell of North Haven.
Kate’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, October 14, from 3 to 7:00pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will be private in North Haven Cemetery.
