Obituary


Karl H. Ginsberg age 89 of Plymouth, formerly of Brockton, died Sunday October 9, 2016 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Lillian (Gartner) Ginsberg for 66 years.
Karl was born and raised in Germany and came to the United States in 1952 and settled in Brockton where he lived for many years. He was the proud founder and owner of Alco Sign Company in Brockton and had been a member of Thorny Lea Golf Course for 50 years. Karl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He tried to treat others as he would have liked to be treated himself.

Karl was the father of Jane O’Neil of W. Yarmouth and the late Peter Ginsberg. He was the grandfather of Matthew Ginsberg of Rockledge, FL; Kevin and Scott O’Neil both of Los Angeles, CA and the late Eric Ginsberg. He leaves three great grandchildren Peter and Haley Ginsberg and Julian O’Neil. Karl was the brother of Harold Ginsberg of Columbia, MD; Frank Ginsberg of Macks Creek, MO and the late Heinz Ginsberg. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and many “extended family” friends.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday 10-11 am followed by a celebration of Karl’s life. The celebration will then continue at Thorny Lea Golf Course.
