Loretta Ann Taylor Bostic

Grovetown, GA- Loretta Ann Taylor Bostic, 79, born April 23, 1937, loving wife of 61 years to Kedric A. Bostic, Sr., entered into rest at University Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Loretta was born in Gatewood, WV, to the late Dewey and Violet Taylor. She devoted 21 years in service to our country as a military wife/mother and worked many years at the Fort Gordon base commissary.

Loretta was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly and knew them all as “sweetie-pies”.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter: Deborah Ann Bostic Reese; son: Kedric A. Bostic, Jr. (Linda): three brothers: Elmer Taylor, Clarence “Pal” Taylor (Catherine), Everett Taylor (MaryJean); three grandchildren: Shawnna Nicole Nikki Welch (John), Charles Ryan Reese (Ashlyn), Kedric A. Bostic, III; four great-granddaughters: Madison Taylor Welch, Aubrey Elizabeth Welch, Lilly Claire Reese, Blakely Ann Reese; Guardian Angels; and friends: Elizabeth Beth Welch, Alice and Jan Hanley, Betty and Jamey Glover, and Brenda Hall.

A memorial service will be Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Catherine Taylor and Rev. David Ables officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
