Methuen – Maria (Charette) Daigle, 87 of Methuen, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Daigle.
Born in Fort Kent, Maine on April 24, 1929, Maria was the daughter of Hyacinthe and Edna (LaFrance) Charette. She was a homemaker for many years and worked as a quality control inspector for ITT Semiconductors in Lawrence for 24 years until her retirement in 1993. In her free time, she enjoyed walking, embroidery, ballroom dancing, and playing cards.
Maria will be deeply missed by her son, Ronald J. Daigle and his wife, Susan of Londonderry, NH; 2 daughters, Patricia A. Palermo and her husband, David of Ocala, Florida and Donna M. Parisi and her husband, Robert of Hampstead, NH; 3 sisters, Lena Pelletier of Connecticut, Sr. Rena Charette, OSF of Quebec, Canada, and Verna Holt of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Maria’s life by gathering for her Mass of Christian Burial, which will take place on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 9 AM at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. Entombment will follow at St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum in Lawrence.
