Elaine A. ( Rouse) Stiers, 77, of Anderson, passed away October 7, 2016 at Community Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on April 29, 1939 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Zello and Grace (Bucey) Rouse. She was an accountant and was a bookkeeper for several local businesses. She was a member of Park Place Church of God, where she was active with the Truth Finders Sunday School Class and served as a youth leader for many years. She sold Home Interiors for many years and enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Allen L. Stiers; 3 sons Gordon (Beth) Stiers of Brownsburg, Greg (Wanetta) Stiers of Alexandria, and Arden (Lisa) Stiers of Brownsburg; 6 grandchildren: Joshua Stiers of New York, Kelsey Stiers of Uganda, Kathryn (Craig) Heman of Indianapolis, Nathan (Bonnie) Stiers of Pendleton, Kendra Stiers and Sean Stiers of Brownsburg; 3 great grandsons; Jackson, Cody, and Lucas Stiers; 2 brothers; Dr. Wesley Lee (Rebecca) Rouse of North Port, FL and Rev. Gerald (Lois) Rouse of Crossville, TN; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11 AM at Park Place Church of God, with Rev. Tom Stiers officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 3-7 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be given to: Park Place Church of God, Park Place Children's Center, Park Place Church of God Food Pantry, or Park Place Mission Trip to Uganda Fund.
