Worcester- Vincent A. Oroszko, 85, of 55 Seymour St., died Sunday, August 7, in St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves several nephews and nieces, including Charles J. Oroszko of Boylston and Mary E. Oroszko of Worcester. He also leaves a close friend, Nhan Pham of Worcester. He was predeceased by six brothers, Stanley, Charles, Joseph, Frank, Benjamin, and John Oroszko. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph and Mary (Wasilewska) Oroszko and lived here all his life.
Mr. Oroszko was a foreman at Darby Wood Heel Co. prior to serving in World War II. After World War II, he was a foreman at Armour Co., and later at Western Pork Co., where he was a steward for the Teamsters Union Local 170.
He was surgical technician for the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in England and the United States.
He was a member of St. John’s Church and the Polish American Veterans of World War II.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 10, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, in the funeral home.
