Clare Higgins (Shillue) age 93 of Canton passed away at the Milton Hospital October 5th. Born in Boston, she was raised in Quincy, Dorchester and Hyde Park and graduated from Quincy High School and was a Veteran United States Marine Corp. serving during WW II. Clare worked as an Executive secretary for Norfolk & Dedham Insurance for many years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Women’s Marine Corp Assn and St. Gerard Majella Prayer Group. Beloved mother of Michael Higgins of Canton. Sister of William Shillue of AZ. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington Canton Wednesday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Thursday morning at 10. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park Canton.
