Claire E. (Jacques) Gadbois, 83, of New Bedford died October 6, 2016 peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
She was the wife of the late Normand Gadbois.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Emery and Cecile (Bernard) Jacques, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Mrs. Gadbois was formerly employed as a dietician at Sacred Heart Home for 34 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include 4 daughters, Denise Vieira of Fairhaven, Jacqueline Contois and her husband William and Christine Laventure and her husband Rick, all of Freetown and Lisa Gadbois of New Bedford; a sister, Rita Forand and her husband Normand of Spring Hill, FL; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 14th at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
