Worcester- John J. Mack, 90, of 3 Ashmont Ave., died Saturday, August 6, in St. Vincent Hospital.
His wife, Helen (Zitkus) Mack, died in 1998. He leaves a daughter, Judith A. Dee of Worcester; a grandson, Michael Dee of Worcester; two great grandchildren, Amber Dee and Jordan Dee, both of Worcester; a sister, Rita Hrubic of Worcester; nephews and nieces. His son, John A. Mack, died in 1993. He was also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, Chester Mack, Edward Mack, Anthony Mack, Beatrice Kissiel, and Irene Gedman. He was born in Worcester, son of Anthony and Mary (Chehomski) Maciejewski and lived here all his life.
Mr. Mack was a garnet operator at Solboro, and later at Worcester Fiber Batting, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, the Polish Naturalization Independent Club, the Polish National Alliance, and the White Eagles.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 9, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. A calling hour is from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, in the funeral home.
