Lorraine M. Gagnon, 90, of Berlin, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Berlin, the daughter of Ralph and Alice Albertine (Therrien) Roberge. Mrs. Gagnon was one of the few remaining members of Berlin High School’s class of 1944. She was employed by the City of Berlin for 26 years as a Tax Collector and also worked at the Water Works Dept. Lorraine was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, AVH Auxiliary, she enjoyed dancing especially line dancing, and loved to travel after her retirement. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, enjoyed her winters in Raleigh for 10 years with her daughter and son-in-law.
Family members include her daughter Muriel Bijeau and husband Robert of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Gary Bijeau of Anchorage, AK and Jay Bijeau and wife Christina of Woodbridge, VA; great grandchildren Brody, Maggie and Evan Bijeau, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Romeo J. Gagnon in 1967.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 8, 2016 at 1pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment in the St. Anne Cemetery will be private. Friends and relatives may call on the Bryant Funeral Home on Saturday from 11am-1pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital Auxiliary, 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH 03570.
