Annette J. Sawyer, age 89, passed away at the Elaine Center in Hadley surrounded by her loving family on Oct 4, 2016. She was born in Holyoke on Mar 3, 1927 to the late Hermenegilde and Marie (Lemieux) Authier. Annette was predeceased by her husband George Sawyer who passed away in 2012. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage and will now both be reunited together. She leaves 2 sons, George Sawyer of Everett and Steven Sawyer and Linda Parmenter of Hubbardston; 6 daughters, Gail Bergeron of Holyoke, Judith Roy and her husband Michael of Belchertown, Lisa Jarrett of Enfield, CT, Dawn Sawyer of Easthampton, Amy O’Connell and her husband Sean of Granby and Eva Pardee and her husband Stephen of Belchertown; 1 brother, Edmund Authier of Chicopee; 2 sisters, Edna Benoit of Holyoke and Louise Munley Fields of Feeding Hills and also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 4 brothers, Gerard Authier, Lionel Authier, Paul Authier and Rev. Charles Authier also 4 sisters, Angeline Davignon, Lucille Deslaurier, Juliette Vautrain and Sr. Lorette Authier She was a kind, beautiful soul whose loving nature touched everyone she met. A Memorial Service will be held for both Annette and George Sawyer on Sat, Oct 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Parish in Belchertown. Burial will follow for Annette and George in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. There are no visiting hours.
