New Bedford – Scott Gonzalez, age 40, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Ramon Gonzalez and Kathy (Sylvia) Chartier of New Bedford. He was step-son of the late Pedro Mercado. Scott worked as a dry wall installer.
He is survived by 3 sons: Raymond J. Gonzalez, Scott Gonzalez Jr. and Eyzale Gonzalez all of New Bedford, a daughter: Nevaeh Rebello of New Bedford, a grandson : Rylin Gonzalez, his mother Kathy Chartier of New Bedford, a brother: Kevin Chartier and 2 sisters: Lynda Mercado and Kelly Gonzalez all of New Bedford, as well as several nieces and nephews. Scott was also the step-father of Amarylis Valera of New Bedford.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 6 - 8 P.M. . Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
