Gracienne F. Cormier, 94, of Derry, NH, died Monday October 3, 2016 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born in Pittsburg, NH on May 22, 1922, a daughter of the late Omer and Celia Guay. Mrs. Cormier was a longtime resident of Newton, NH where she was a member of the Newton Silver Tops, and Mary Mother of the Church. She volunteered for many years for the Town of Kingston, and enjoyed knitting, reading and being a homemaker.
She is survived by her four children, Roland Cormier and his wife Lillian of Methuen, MA, Diane Malek and her husband Albert, and Annette Lemieux and her husband Robert all of Safety Harbor, FL, Robert Cormier and his wife Carrie of New York; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Rachel Moreau of Springfield, MA, and Leona Berube of Ludlow, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Cormier in 1995, and her daughter and son-in-law Denise and David Molinari.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, October 8th at 10:00am in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 12 Amesbury Rd., Newton. The burial followed in Willow Grove Cemetery in Newton.
