Dorothy Weir Barrow
Dorothy Weir Barrow, 91, of Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest at home on October 3, 2016. Mrs. Barrow is the wife of the late Mr. Allen R. Barrow of Augusta, Georgia and Johnson City, Texas. Mrs. Barrow was a lifelong Augustan and member of St James United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Many people will remember her working with her sister Verna at Western Auto in various locations around Augusta. Family members include: daughter, Patricia A. Barrow of Augusta, Georgia; son, Wayne Barrow (Sheri) of Appling, Georgia; grandson, Allen Barrow of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Amanda Hill (Wayne) of Harlem, Georgia; grandson, Chadd Pittman of Appling, Georgia; great granddaughter, Allison Marie Barrow of Evans, Georgia; 2 great grandsons due in December; and, sister, Verna Weir Law of North Augusta, South Carolina. Additional family members include: Dana Law, of North Augusta, South Carolina; Judy Law of Evans, Georgia; Ernie and Julie Law of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Esther Law of Madrid, Spain; Erin Law of Evans, Georgia; Dwight Broadbeck, Randy Broadbeck, Stephen Broadbeck, and Todd Broadbeck of Texas. She was preceded in death by her nephews, Dale Law of Evans, Georgia, and Troy Law of Evans, Georgia. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 6, 2016, 1 pm at Thomas Poteet and Son followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Bart Grey and Rev. Thurman Norville. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
