Jansing, Betty J. Cecil, 83, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Betty was born on January 29, 1933 in Elizabethtown, KY. She was a homemaker, a member of Incarnation Catholic Church, and a member of the St. Lawrence Seniors Club. She was a loving wife of 61 years to, Charles I. Jansing; mother to, Mike (Libby) Jansing, Charlene Distler, Steve (Andriette) Jansing and Mark (Valarie) Jansing; grandmother to, Stephanie Jansing, Matt Jansing, Zack Distler, Jackie (Matthew) Wheeler, Derrick (Stacy) Jansing, Forrest Jansing, Gavin Jansing, Sean Jansing and Scarlett Jansing; great-grandmother, Josie, Gracie, Justin, Maddisin, Masin and Piersin Jansing; and sister to, Bill (Margaret) Davis, all of whom survive her.
Her funeral mass will be at 10 am Thursday, Oct. 6, at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, with burial at St. Louis Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass of the Air or to Lifehouse.
