Obituary

Edward Francis Bibber died at home on October 3, 2016. Born in East Boston, Massachusetts on January 4, 1925, he was the son of Walter Bibber and Caroline Bibber (Rankenberg).

Ed served as a gunner on board the USS Texas during WWII. Returning to East Boston after the war, he married Pauline Friel on June 30, 1946. He worked for A. S. Campbell and the U.S. Postal Service moving to Londonderry, NH in 1970.

Ed was predeceased by his wife Pauline in 2007 and is survived by daughters Paula Bowers of Contoocook and Sharon Merrill of Londonderry; sons-in-law Robert Bowers and Robert Merrill; granddaughters Cheryl Drake and husband Kevin of New Hampton, and Kerri Clay of Sunapee; grandson Bobby Merrill of Auburn; four great-grandsons Kyle and Connor Drake of New Hampton, Matthew and Michael Clay of Sunapee; great-great-granddaughter Paityn Drake of New Hampton; sister-in-law Marie Bibber of N. Chelmsford, MA; many nieces and nephews; and long-time friend and companion Barbara Paris of Manchester, NH. He was predeceased by his brothers James, Frank, Walter, George and his sisters Alice Rich and Caroline Hafferkamp.

Calling hours were held on Friday October 7, 2016 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a brief service that was held at 11:00am. Burial will military honors followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, 1 South Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053.
