Obituary

CHICOPEE – Frances E. “Cookie” (Chisholm) Boisvere, 77, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, October 2, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Springfield on May 29, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Thomas O. and Loretta E. (Beauvais) Chisholm. She was raised in Springfield, attended Springfield schools and had lived in Granby, Ludlow and Holyoke before moving to Chicopee in 1971. She was employed for many years as a Home Health Aide at Upjohn Health Care in Springfield. She was a well-known local psychic and worked with local police on numerous cases. During her leisure time, Cookie enjoyed cooking and helping her family and friends. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 37 years, Richard M. “Rick” Boisvere who was Called Home on November 21, 1996. Besides her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her two loving sons-in-law, Paul N. Wiater who was Called Home on January 9, 2015 and William J. LoPresti who was Called Home on November 5, 1998; her three dear brothers, George Chisholm, Thomas Chisholm and Earl Chisholm; and her five dear sisters, Jean Budlong, Alma MacLeod, Theresa Boileau, Nellie Chisholm and Ruth Chisholm. She leaves her four loving children, Denise M. Benoit and Susan J. Wiater, both of Chicopee, Richard M. Boisvere, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of South Hadley and Jeannette I. LoPresti and her fiancé, Jonathan H. Wilkinson; her four cherished grandchildren, Joseph Boisvere and his fiancé, Mary, Joshua Boisvere and his wife, Ash, Jacob Boisvere and his wife, Erin, and Grace Boisvere; her two cherished great-granddaughters, twins Aryana and Fiona Boisvere; her dear brother, Leon Chisholm and his wife, Barbara, of Chicopee; her dear sister, Barbara Mitchell and her husband, William, of Florida; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Boisvere and Chisholm families. Her funeral will be held on Thursday morning, October 6, 2016 beginning at 10 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will take place at 11 a.m. with a Graveside Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
