Jimmy Marcus Wood, 69, of Berrien County passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at Oaky Grove Church in Berrien County with the Rev. Josh Campbell officiating. Mr. Wood will be laid to rest at Oaky Grove Church Cemetery in Berrien County.
Born September 9, 1947 in Berrien County, Mr. Wood was the son of the late J. D. Wood and Myrtle Ingram Wood. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Wood is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Crystal Wood and Lance and Sheree Wood, all of Jesup and Justin and Sarah Wood of Enigma; one daughter, Jessica Wood of Berrien County; one brother, Jerry Wood of Berrien County; three sisters, Joyce Davis of Statesboro, Jo Studstill of Valdosta and Joan Culverhouse of Augusta; and eight grandchildren, Will Wood, Bradley Wood, Madison Conger, Dillon Conger, Parker Fletcher, Riley Wood, Ryan Wood and Anna Kate Wood.
