Jane Mae (Maker) Rockwood, 91, of Walpole died October 3 in the Harrington House in Walpole. She was the wife of the late Everett A. “Rocky” Rockwood, who died in 2013.
Born in Norwood, January 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Herbert and Marion (Chandler) Maker, Mrs. Rockwood was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. Rockwood had worked as bank clerk in her younger days.
She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved to feed the wild birds that came to her yard.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Rockwood of Middleton and Linda Rockwood of Walpole. She was the mother of the late James and Wayne Rockwood.
She is also survived by her daughter –in-law Patricia Connolly of Walpole and her grandchildren, Paul, Michael, Lisa, David, Molly and Casey.
She was the sister of the late Ruth Neault and Barbara Welch.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street, Walpole at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
