Charles R. Whittemore

TEWKSBURY: Charles R. Whittemore, age 87, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, MA, passed away at River Court Residences in Groton on Friday, September 30, 2016.
He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Pushor) Whittemore for 66 years.
Born in Boston, MA on October 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Kenneth A. and Ethel (Johnston) Whittemore, and brother of the late Joan Magoon.
Surviving him along with his wife are three children, Donna G. Russo and her husband John of Hudson, NH, C. David Whittemore and his wife Donna of Farmington, NH, and Donald M. Whittemore and his wife Denise of Dunstable, MA; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, Valerie Leclair, Joshua Whittemore, Jared Whittemore, Justin Whittemore, Jason Whittemore, and Rebecca Khalil, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Bob worked at Massachusetts Electric and National Grid for 42 years and continued as a consultant for 6 years after his retirement. He was a world traveler, a member of New England Woodcarvers, a 65 year member of the Pentucket Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M., and a member of the DeMolay of Lowell.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 4-7 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. His Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Lowell Cemetery.
