Patty Gleaton Dobbins, 51, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Arbor Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Arbor Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6 PM until 8PM, at Arbor Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dobbins was born August 25, 1965, in Americus, Georgia, to Dorothy Lee Kelley Gleaton and the late “Butch” Gleaton. She attended school in Schley County and graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1983. She attended Wiregrass Technical College and ABAC, where she received her LPN degree. Mrs. Dobbins was a pediatric nurse and sat with kids in their homes. She was also a nurse for Dr. Mann and Dr. Hammond. Mrs. Dobbins was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of eight years: Jeffery Dobbins of Fitzgerald; two sons: Joshua & Mandi Smith of Zebulon and Kade Poole of Fitzgerald; three step-children: Lindsey & Lee Watkins of Perry, Clint & Carla Revels of Fitzgerald and Lori & Josh Norton of Perry; two grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; her mother: Dot Gleaton of Fitzgerald; a sister: Tammy & Jeff Miles of Fitzgerald and a brother: Bert & Wendy Gleaton of Hiawassee.
